How to Day Trade Futures

Day trading involves taking advantage of short term price movements in a market. Trades will be held less than a day, and typically many trades will be placed during the day, sometimes being held for minutes, even seconds.

How to Trade With Technical Analysis

There are millions of words spoken and written about the markets every day but day trading technical analysts believe that all these opinions are collectively shown on a price chart. The idea behind technical analysis is that a price chart will show that a market is running out of steam, is about to change direction, or is trending smoothly before a news report or other fundamental reason is published. Technical Analysis involves plotting market data on a graph (or chart) and using various mathematical tools to gauge where future movements will lead through the day.

For example, as long as a market's prices continue to move between two upward, parallel trend-lines, an analyst may assume the trend was bullish. And he would look to buy on any approaches of the lower trend-line. He may look to exit positions near the upper trend-line.

It would only take seconds to look at each chart to see that the trend were still upwards, or if the market was near a trend-line to buy or sell.
